Hello and Welcome to BikeWise Oxford!
It’s always nice to know with whom you are doing business so please take a moment to get to know us!
For over a quarter century, Marty Creech ran what was known as the Bike Center at 11 W. Church St in Uptown Oxford, Ohio. Back in the late 1980’s, Doug Hamilton worked for Marty, first as a salesperson then as mechanic and finally as wheelbuilder. Doug, who is also a proficient violinist and guitarist left Oxford in 1993 for Nashville, TN where he went on the road and toured the country with Reba McEntire, Aaron Tippin, Barbara Mandrell, and others as a fiddler and guitarist. In 1994, Doug married Barbara Smyth and upon the arrival of their second child in 2001 decided to move back to Oxford since they felt it was an ideal place to raise children. In 2003 Doug went back to work for Marty as head of the repair department where he established his custom wheel business, RounderWheels. After a very successful year of custom bike and wheel building, and with Marty seeking to exit the bike business in favor of real estate, Doug purchased the assets and inventory of Bike Center, Inc. and formed BikeWise LLC, now known as BikeWise Oxford. Doug continues to be active on the local music scene. He performs with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra as well as the WildWater Band, an eclectic, acoustic jam/bluegrass/jazz group from Dayton, Ohio.
